“Learn by Doing” has been the 4-H slogan since it began in 1902 and part of its creed adopted in 1918 includes, “I believe in the training of my HANDS for the ability it will give me to be helpful, skillful, and useful.”  Maker projects are cut from the same cloth as any other 4-H project. The process of making allows youth to follow their own interests and passions and master a variety of technical skills.
